SENDING out parcels to friends and relatives was something I used to do regularly pre-pandemic but of course, when Covid-19 happened, going out became restricted and I had difficulty booking pick-ups from the house. We had tried that before and pick-ups would sometimes take days, even weeks.
One day, I decided to do a giveaway on my stan Twitter account and someone suggested I try GGX, which is short for GoGo Xpress.
So I booked a pick-up on their web site and the parcel was indeed picked up the following day. I was not asked to fill out the packaging with the recipient’s name and address again. I had already filled out those details on the web site, along with the sender’s (mine) information. How efficient, right?
That’s not all. The giveaway winner said she already received an SMS from GGX the moment I booked the order. Since then, I’ve been using GoGo Xpress when I sell or trade photo cards of K-pop idols. I realized that many K-pop shops and sellers now use GGX.
I am truly an admirer of how efficiently GGX works and it was a fangirl moment to be invited to their online press conference recently and meet the people behind the logistics and business solutions provider.
GoGo Xpress is one of the three brands under QuadX, an eCommerce tech and logistics service provider. QuadX services all market segments from marketplaces, cross-border commerce, and payment collection and settlement. Their two other brands are Shipping Cart and XPay.
During the press conference, GoGo Xpress announced new easy-to-use digital tools that would further enhance the e-commerce experience of the buyer and the casual social seller.
The company has always invested in data and technology to make it easier for every Filipino to go into business or continuously grow their existing businesses, said QuadX Founder and CEO Dino Araneta.
GoGo Xpress has pioneered many solutions to make online selling easier. One is the cash on delivery (COD) option for buyers. I remember how, pre-pandemic, we’d send the shipping fee to sellers via bank deposit or those remittance services of pawnshops. One more thing that sets GGX apart is that the platform does not require a certain level of digital savvy and gives merchants easy access to its selling tools with a few clicks and taps.
GoGo Xpress has connected almost 1.5 million casual social sellers to over 20 million buyers.
“We are poised to double that by the end of the year to 3 million sellers and 40 million buyers,” said Mia Bulatao, president and chief operating officer of GoGo Xpress.
As a platform, the GoGo Xpress app is reliant on technology but still user-friendly for both sellers and buyers. The payment checkout is very convenient, whether in cash, COD or GCash payment. All sellers have to do is make a booking and GGX would pick up the parcels without fail on the same day if they made the booking before the 2 pm cut-off and the following day if they booked after 2 pm. Upon booking, GGX would inform the buyer about it and make updates after parcel pick-up and on the delivery day.
The new seller tools to allow entrepreneurs are highly customizable. The Bulk Uploader allows processings of as much as 2,000 order transactions in one click, while the Promo Code Generator allows sellers to have their own promos and sales.
To make things make sense, the dashboard gives sellers insights to help them further grow their businesses.
Messenger Shop, initially available on Facebook and soon to be integrated to Instagram, eliminates the need for the merchant to set-up a separate Facebook account for selling and everything is already automated.
At the center of all these features is GoBenta, an enhancement to GGX’s Sell-A-Product feature. It allows sellers who sell via social media to create up to 100 product links that would include descriptions and prices. Sellers can post these links on their online stores and other social-media platforms, including Facebook, FB Messenger Shop, FB Marketplace, KUMU, Carousell, Viber, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, e-mail and SMS, for faster transactions and easier tracking.
For more efficiency and accuracy, buyers themselves can input their delivery details aside from choosing COD as payment option for more efficiency and accuracy on the seller’s side as they don’t need to fill in the delivery details for their buyers.
GoBenta allows buyers to know immediately how much the shipping fee is and gives them the option to choose COD without having to pay a COD service fee.
The GoBenta storefront lets sellers customize their store names and upload their own brand logos. They can also use the product links to promote their store and products on their social-media platforms.
